Mary Speaks - This was the moment it all made sense

 2019.15.Mary Speaks Again.1

I fell asleep, longing to hold my Son,

But woke with a hand gently stroking my face

A hand that was familiar, yet different.

I fell asleep, desperately missing my Son,

But woke with him right there,

He’d risen and wanted me to know.

THIS WAS THE MOMENT IT ALL MADE SENSE

I fell asleep in darkness,

But woke in glorious light

Never to be extinguished,

I fell asleep, in tired exhaustion

But woke in energizing vigour

Ready to run and share the news

THIS WAS THE MOMENT IT ALL MADE SENSE

I fell asleep, in aching emptiness,

But woke in overflowing fullness,

Ready to touch any in my path.

I fell asleep in the cold of the night,

But woke in the warmth of the sun,

My Son

THIS WAS THE MOMENT IT ALL MADE SENSE

I fell asleep in sorrowful sorrow

But woke in joyous joy,

Exceeding my wildest dreams.

I fell asleep in desperate grief,

But woke in incredible hope.

Everything had changed.

THIS WAS THE MOMENT IT ALL MADE SENSE

I fell asleep in distressing turmoil,

But woke in serene peace,

Tranquility that flooded my being.

I fell asleep in lonely loneliness

But woke with my Son

With me, my Saviour and friend.

THIS WAS THE MOMENT IT ALL MADE SENSE

I fell asleep in fear, feeling bound,

But woke freer than ever before,

No longer chained.

I fell asleep in a world without my Son,

But woke with him more radically present than ever,

In a familiar, yet different way.

THIS WAS THE MOMENT IT ALL MADE SENSE
